What serving involves

Serving on the music and worship ministries at All Nations Church of Luxembourg is spiritual leadership, not a platform. We do not recruit only because someone plays well. We look for people who love Jesus, love this church family, and are willing to help the room worship — with excellence, joy, and humility.

Worship is a whole life offered to God, not only the songs on Sunday. Team members should model that: how we treat people, how we show up when we are not scheduled, and how we take care of our own hearts.

Musically we pursue simplicity that points to Christ. Skilled playing that serves the song, not parts whose main effect is “look how good the musician is.” Practice still matters. We expect people to grow in their gifts and to arrive prepared.

The team is volunteer based. We serve out of love for Christ and one another — we do not hire professionals to fill the band.

Where people serve

Worship ministries is bigger than the band:

• Band — musicians and vocalists for Sunday worship
• Sound — mixing, stream, monitors
• Projection — lyrics and slides
• Design — printing, stage and room
• Facility — setup and teardown
• Scripture reading and prayer leading

What a serving week costs

Music ministry is one of the more time-intensive ways to serve. In general:

• Rehearsals are typically Thursday evening before Sunday (call times live in Planning Center).
• On Sundays, plan to be present for the full morning you are scheduled — setup, run-through, service, and pack-down as it applies to your role.
• Practice your parts at home before rehearsal. Rehearsal is for the team, not the first time you see the song.
• We ask people to serve about once a month when possible, adjusted for team size.
• Reply to Planning Center, texts, and email. If you will be late or cannot make it, say so.
